Docking Section


Where all newly built ships are launched from, and repair ships are docked and undocked. The docking section is made up of dry docks where our ships are built

Shipbuilding Shop (Area: 3000 sq.m.)


This is where our ship structures are constructed. Here, we employ specialist workers for both steel and aluminum construction.


Composite Boat Building Shop (Area: 768 sq.m.)


A newly built shop catering to the need for reduced weight in composite hulls and decks in boatbuilding and marine markets.

Machine Shop (Area: 1300 sq. m.)


An enriched machine shop measuring 1300 sq.m. which provides significant support to the other shops of DEW.


ICE Shop (Area: 530 sq. m.)


The primary purpose of DEW’s Outfitting Shop is the installation of shafts, propellers, plummer clocks, A/P brackets, and stern tubes onboard ships.


Outfitting Shop (Area: 700 sq. m.)


The primary purpose of DEW’s Outfitting Shop is the installation of shafts, propellers, plummer clocks, A/P brackets, and stern tubes onboard ships. After a vessel has been floated (in contemporary shipbuilding) or launched (in traditional shipbuilding), it is then towed out of its dry-dock and moored at a fitting-out berth. While still afloat, its construction is then continued.

Maintenance Shop (Area: 223 sq. m.)


DEW offers world-class maintenance services for all types of ships at its maintenance shop, from the shortest stopovers to extended programs. We provide a complete one-stop service that will ensure that your vessels leave our yards at peak efficiency and class-compliant.

Electrical Shop (Area: 506 sq. m.)


All electrical work onboard ships are carried out here. We have expertise in providing marine and industrial electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs. 
The electrical shop department oversees the entire shipyard's electrical outfitting and management systems; from managing administrative electrical systems to outfitting wiring and mechanisms in large vessels.

Carpentry Shop (Area: 140 sq. m.)


Our specialists in the carpentry shop offer a broad spectrum of services from filigree decoration to a ship’s interior fitting of a ship, we can offer a broad spectrum of services. Examples of activities carried out by the carpenter’s workshop are: furniture making, woodwork, insulation and paneling, and overall beautification.

Paint Shop (Area: 125 sq. m.)


All ships require protection from the corrosive elements of the sea and the air. DEW’s paint shop carries out surface preparation of the plate as well as the painting of the ship, and all applications of paint systems are applied according to the highest quality standards as described by the paint manufacturers. 

Foundry Shop (Area: 680 sq. m.)


Another cause of the corrosion of a ship is the ship’s outer body being in constant contact with water. At DEW’s foundry shop, anodes are used to protect ships’ parent material. We have expertise in casting all types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This shop is also able to fabricate small items like fairleads, zinc anodes, etc.
