The IPVs will be of the following general characteristic:
a)
Able
to operate in tropical waters.
b)
The
main hull will be marine grade MS plate and superstructure will be of high
quality marine grade corrosion resistance aluminium alloy.
c)
Have
an expected life of minimum 25 years and annual usage 2800 hrs approximately.
d) Capable of towing another vessel of similar displacement.
