Shipbuilding is synonymous with Bangladesh. Shipbuilding is a way of life in Bangladesh and stretches back over several centuries. DEW has a rich history of 100 years of building ships, crafts and boats.
DEW is specialized in building Patrol Craft, Landing Craft Tanks, Harbor Patrol Boat, Cutter Suction Dredger, Tug Boat, Ferry, Survey Boat, Passenger Ship, Composite/GRP High Speed Boat, Barge, Pontoon, Channel Buoy and many more. The first ever war ships built in Bangladesh are made by DEW for Bangladesh Navy.
It has the ship construction capacity of 3000 tons per year with slipways with capacity of 1500tons and capable of docking vessels around 80 meters of length. There are around 700 workers who have great skills in welding, fitting and other engineering activities like lifting, and machine operating. DEW complies ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and have more than 30 professional engineers having good quality leadership and experience in shipbuilding.
